    Description

Up for bid is my brothers red on red 1973 Cadillac Coupe Deville.  Im helping him with the sale because he does not have an ebay account and he is disabled from an accident.  The title is in his name and is clear and clean.  I will assist with the sale up into the end.  The vehicle is located outside The Philadelphia suburbs in Holland, Pa., 18966.  It is turn key and can be driven home to the winning bidder at end of sale.  Service notes go all the way back to 1988.  Original factory Cadillac floor mats, owners manual and factory literature come with the sale.
He bought the Cadillac in 2004 from a newspaper automotive writer.  With plans to fully restore the vehicle, he began by spending over 00 on the drivetrain.  He sent the original numbers matching engine and transmission to Jasper Engines in Jasper, IN., where both, the 472 cu engine and 3L-80 received a full re-manufacture and was reinstalled by a professional garage.  Since then, only a 1000 miles have been put on the drive train.  A 3 year/100000 mile warranty was given with the re-manufactured drive train (all paperwork will come with the sale). Please realize the warranty has expired due to time, but obviously not from the mileage.
The vehicle idles, drives and shifts magnificently.  As it should only having about 1000 miles on the drive train. All electronics are good.  Original radio is in dash and lights up with electric antenna going up.  I did-not hear sound, maybe the speakers are disconnected. The brakes work excellent.  Due to sitting, the emergency brake was hanging up so i disconnected it on the passenger side so i could drive it.  I washed and waxed the vehicle and took up to the school to take pictures.  From a dead stop,  the 472 will light the tires up.  Very impressive for a car that weights over 2 tons.
The car is complete, straight and seems to never have been hit or in an accident.  The under carriage is solid and floors showing no rust. However, there are issues with rust spots on the door and some other spots.  Attentiom is needed on the trunk and  in various spots along lower rear quarter panels and attention needed in the the rear wheel wells where the skirts attach.  The skirts are in the trunk along with the original jack and full size spare.
Attention will also be needed to focus under the rear of the vinyl roof.  Moisture over the years has seeped under the vinyl near the bottom of the rear glass.
The heater core needs to be replaced, so in order to drive the vehicle I by-passed the heater core by attaching a heater hose to carry the coolant around the core and back into the engine.
My brother put a lot of money into this car over the years and realizes he probably will not make it back. However, he needs the money and the space.
As you can see my feedback is 100% and i plan to keep it that way.  I will answer all questions and help with the sale to the end.  Vehicle must driven out or picked up within 10 days of sale.  Good Luck!!
