Description
With these prayer beads, each bead is on its own chain link. The links are gunmetal in color. The invitatory and cruciform beads are are on dull silver links. All of the beads and the cross are hematite. The weeks beads are rice shaped and small. The invitatory and cruciform beads are 8mm, or the size I use as weeks beads in my regular sets. Hematite beads don't photograph well for me. They take on the pebbled look of their surroundings and appear pitted. They are all smooth. When I grasp the weeks beads, I can feel the chain on either side. However, the small size is an advantage. Even though the prayer beads are fairly long, they don't take up much space and are sturdy. Be sure to click on the middle of any picture to get an enlarged version. The second to the last pic shows how long the prayer beads are. The last picture gives a short explanation of the beads and how they are used.
I will send several prayers that can be used with the beads.
Googling Anglican prayer beads will also give you all kinds of options.
Anglican Prayer Beads were first adopted in the 1980's. Although they are similar to Roman Catholic Rosaries, there is one key difference. Catholic rosaries use the same or similar prayers each time as the person goes around the rosary. Anglican prayer beads or rosaries have no set prayers and can be adapted to fit many different situations, needs, and desires. Both kinds of prayer beads allow people to have something to touch to help keep focus as they pray.
May God bless you!
