I loved this unit for Elder Care!
I had it in place about 4 years ago when my Dad lived home alone. I programmed the unit that when he pushed the emergency button, the unit called ME first instead of 911.  If I can't answer, it will call 3 more people that you program into the system.  If no one answers, then it will call 911.   You can program it to call 911 first, but for my use it really was for her to contact me mostly in a non-urgent manner and if the matter needed 911 - I would be able to call them directly. The unit also comes with an insert that says you can add professional monitoring, but I didn't need it.
I loved that I didn't have the subscribe to a monthly service like LifeAlert. You can if you want, but it worked perfectly without having to subscribe
The push button on the pendant allows for two-way communication. I was able to talk to my Mom when she pushed the button if she wasn't by a telephone. It actually came in handy 3 times during the time I had the unit in service.
Needs a hard-wired home phone to work this way.
Works perfectly.  Might be missing a wrist lanyard.
