With the creation of the Air Force as a separate service in 1947 Army aviation warranted a new badge for Master Army Aviators. The result was the creation of the Army Master Aviator Badge, which is a modified version of the larger size U.S. Air Force (WWII Army Air Corps Wing).
This wing is made of metal and is approximately 2 1/4 inches wide and features 2 clutch back fasteners.
Worn by U.S. Army personnel.
