WWI 27th Division Helmet NYC Parade Green Paint 107th Infantry Regiment

WWI American helmet with green paint. The consensus in the collector community is these were painted for the 27th Division’s NYC parade in 1919, and in particular the 107th regiment used green paint from the city’s parks department originally for park benches.
Please note that the green is in overall good condition and continues down inside the crown on the interior, but there is some paint loss on the exterior crown and around the rim. Also some lighter discoloration, and a few random red paint drips. One noticeable small 1” dent in crown. Chinstrap is missing, but the liner remains (leather is dry). Heat stamp appears to be “ZG212”. Overall, still displays well, particularly on one side as shown. *Foam head NOT included.*
