    Description

    WWI U.S. Military M-1917 Steel Helmet.  Very nice example of original U.S. issue M-1917 Steel Helmet.  Has virtually all of OD sawdust finish intact.  Felt inside is in good shape with the oil cloth liner nibbled on by some critter.  Part of leather chin strap has gotten wet, dried out, and snapped.  Should be easy to replace.  Name "BLOOM" scratched on inner edge.  Heat lot number partly obscured by sawdust spill over.  VG-VG+
