WWI US Army 89th Infantry Division 314th Engineers Painted M1917 "Brodie" Helmet Original - this exceptionally scarce double painted helmet remains in fantastic original condition, the leather chinstrap is supple and not at risk but should be treated with pacard or similar, the division insignia sides of the helmet show light damage to the finish and paint from "stacking" - '2A48' rim number and name "KOETHE" penned to the same area of the underside of the rim.  Let the photos do the talking for this exceptionally nice war-time original.  This piece was purchased at the 1992 San Antonio Museum of World War One closing auction / sale - this is the first time it is being offered at market since that time.
